According to historical records, "Shi Lin Xue Ji" refers to Luoyang 20 kilometers southeast of the city of Wan’ansan stone forest landscape, the mountains are tall and straight peaks, like a knife cut, when the winter season, after the snow, the sun came out, the ground and other mountain snow has melted, and the stone mountain is still snow gleams white, vast and obscure, reflecting the sunlight, reflecting the dazzling brilliance.

According to the opinions of the jury and the experts of history and academics, to complete the creative task of "Shi Lin Xue Ji", I mainly grasp from the following two aspects:
The first is a painting must be considered consistent with the recorded historical data, the mark of Wan Anshan's history, temple and the feeling of stone forest is a few of key points; the second is after the heavy snow weather cleared, the sun just comes out according to the peak is not the melting snow reflected light, is also "the effect of Xue Ji".

Specific to the creation of "Shi Lin Xue Ji", the traditional Chinese painting as the main, plus influence, cover the mountain dark part, bring out the snow. I use horse teeth cracked and axe cracked combined and expressed mountain characteristics; vegetation of the mountains is main deciduous shrubs, interspersed with evergreen, prominent ink color effect, which is consistent with the actual of less north vegetation. My understanding is that both the overall Wan’anshan, and the stone forest feeling, big and small, there are nearly as far away, like a combination of chapped multiple peaks, straight and wide, between like and not like, peaks influence with scarlet red, achieve the light reflection after Xue Ji effect.
